Digital badges, safety online and other posts for students
Our blog has been running since 2010, and moved into this blog platform in 2020. We’ve had two Advent Calendars and a Summer of Moodle, and published posts hopefully of use to both students and staff.
Some of the posts which may still be of interest to students (and of course some staff) include:
- How to do a waste audit to increase your sustainability
- Avoiding plagiarism covers readily available tools and guides available to help students avoid academic misconduct
- The Windows emoji keyboard and Moodle Marilena Minoia shares how to use the Windows 10 emoji keyboard.
- Why you should never reveal your SPY, SUPERHERO or ROCKSTAR name because many of those posts in Facebook with masses of comments are simply phishing for personal information to help out hackers.
- Word games and learning – make your own Wordle! Wordle alternatives and a way to make your own.
- How students can download and keep assignment feedback essential information on how to make a copy of your feedback for your own use even after you leave the university.
- Several of the extracurricular modules in Moodle allow you to achieve Digital Open Badges, which you you can add to your LinkedIn profile to display them to potential employers.
