Moving to Monthly Moodle Updates

We’re improving how we manage Moodle updates. We’re moving to a monthly schedule that will deliver new features and fixes more efficiently. Updates will now occur monthly on Wednesday afternoons from 3:30pm. These regular, shorter updates will reduce overall system downtime and help us maintain a more stable service.

We’ve selected this timing to minimise disruption, and we’ll avoid busy periods such as exam times and the start of term. We’ll post advance notices on the Moodle login page and banner, and we’ll continue to check and assist with any assignment deadline adjustments.

Our next update is scheduled for Wednesday, 13th November at 3:30pm. The date of future updates is published on our update schedule in SharePoint. We would be grateful if you could avoid scheduling assignment deadlines between 3:30-6:00pm on the notified dates.
