SITS ‘thank you’ event iPad winner
Congratulations to prize winner Hiren Tailor – final year Mathematical Sciences student (pictured on the left).
Tutors firstly shared their positive experiences of participating in the programme: “It’s good to have this sort of challenging role as it has a lot of learning potential”; “I remember how intimidating it was for me when I was a fresher myself – having SITS tutors around to help was really useful”; “There was so much to gain from taking part”
The event also sought to gather feedback from SITS about their experiences as a tutor and to capture any potential future improvements for IT Services. Key suggestions were:
- MyNottingham app – was welcomed as a one stop shop and was being used mainly for timetabling. Additional functions requested were bus timetables, status page and improved quality of maps
- Start of session – less returning students pre-registered – more targeted communications suggested
- Most frustrating – drops in the Wi-Fi service, waiting times in Laptop Loan & Repair, issues with module enrolment, access to some software packages, moodle performance issues, too many ways to access services
