Teaching room AV upgrades

A number of AV refurbishments have taken place over summer 2017 to meet new teaching room standards.

Medical School LT3 and LT4 were both upgraded with high powered laser projectors with long-throw lenses, in order that the projectors could be mounted in the projection rooms, not in the theatre itself. In addition, new column array speakers were used for both voice and presentation audio.

In Pope building, 4 previous lecture spaces were knocked through to make 2 large dual projection lecture spaces. The audio visual facilities in Pope C15 and Pope C17 have been upgraded to the latest standards as part of the rolling CTR refurbishment programme. Both these rooms are now Dual Projection Lecture theatres.

In the Exchange building, as well as upgrading the AV system in LT2 and 3, the old wooden front walls were removed and rebuilt with a cleaner white finish. New column boards were also installed to give a large writing surface as well as a large projection image.
