Digital Research Week: Meet our Keynote Speakers

We are proud to introduce our three Keynote Speakers who will be providing their insight into the challenges and opportunities of Digital Research. All three speakers have extensive knowledge of both academic and industrial research and will be contributing their strategic vision to help researchers at the University of Nottingham envision the future of research.

Dr Stephen Moran (left on the image above), Global Head of Strategy for Novartis, will be presenting how digital technologies are revolutionizing the way medicines are being discovered, developed, and prescribed.

Dr Massimo Noro (centre), Business Development Director at STFC Daresbury, will be discussing the opportunities for new computing technologies – High Performance Computing, Big Data and Cognitive Computing – to bring value to industry through ‘in-silico’ research methods.

Finally, Dr Adam Cartwright (right), Head of Open Innovation for Siemens plc, will reflect on how digital technologies and quicker innovation cycles impact the relationship between academic and industrial research.

Keynotes will be introduced by Professor Dame Jessica Corner, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Knowledge Exchange at the University of Nottingham.

Event details: Wednesday 25 April, 1pm-2.30pm. Engineering and Science Learning Centre, University Park.
