Find out what roles are on offer and what the application time frames look like – you may need to start the process sooner than you think. It’s also your chance to hear what companies are looking for. By talking to different recruiters, you can make comparisons and get a feel for what appeals to you.
I Interview and job hunting workshops – top tips for success
Brush up on your job-hunting skills by attending our ‘Five top tips…’ workshops on CVs, interviews and using LinkedIn. These 20-minute workshops will help to get your job-hunting off to a great start.
S Spruce up your CV – get ready to apply
Not sure if you are ‘selling’ your skills and experience in a way that will put you to the top of the interview pile? Bring a printout of your CV or show it on an iPad and our team will make sure it’s in tip-top shape.
C Companies come in all sizes – where do you want to work?
There will be both large graduate recruiters and highly successful small to medium-sized businesses at the fair. Remember that not every graduate goes into a graduate scheme. This is your chance to explore the many different routes available to you.
O Opportunity to talk to Nottingham alumni – get the inside story
Many attending representatives are Nottingham alumni, so this is a fabulous opportunity to get an insider’s view from someone who was once in your shoes. Look out for the pink mortar board symbol in the fair guide.
V Variety of job roles – you’ll be amazed by what’s on offer
Many companies recruit to a variety of roles. Don’t assume that you know what a company has to offer without checking. For example, retailers recruit to head office functions such as IT and marketing as well as to store management.
