Chronic Pain and Work
The aim of this study is to develop a toolkit for employees with chronic pain. This toolkit will address the barriers to working for people who experience pain, encouraging self-management through promoting physical and mental wellbeing. It will provide advice on adjustments to work environments in order to create a more inclusive and accessible environment.
A survey has been sent out to employers and people with pain through which they can contribute their views on what is important to include in such a toolkit. If you’d like to help inform the development of some resources for employees with chronic pain and to help with their self-management in the workplace please follow this link to complete the survey This builds on the important insights collected in the consultation event in February.
Dr Holly Blake received funding from STEMM-CHANGE for this project and has recently undertaken a public consultation event that attracted many different individuals.
