Your library facilities over the summer

Whether you’re still studying over the summer or not, our library resources and support are still available to you.

Our eight libraries are open for pre-booked study space, browsing, borrowing and printing. You can book up to six hours a day to spend in our individual bookable spaces. You can also use the drop-in individual spaces and bookable socially distanced group study spaces outside of the libraries so you won’t struggle to find your perfect space.

Library opening times have changed for the duration of the summer so make sure you check the opening times before visiting.

Support for your studies

If you need a bit of support, check out our events calendar every week for regular support available to you, including:

We also host a Q&A session on our Instagram page every Wednesday but you can also contact library staff directly via phone, email, live chat and social media.

Take a break

We’ve also got some great resources and events on to help you relax and take a break, including access to Box of Broadcasts where you can watch film and TV online, Drama Online where you can watch NT Live productions and a wide selection of leisure reading and ebooks available in our libraries and online.

You can also head to our Museum of Archaeology and Lakeside Arts venue at University Park to see our latest exhibitions ‘Behind the Scenes of the Museum’ and ‘Florence Nightingale Comes Home’. Admission is free, just book your tickets online.
