On trial: Secret Files from World Wars to Cold War

This trial has now been extended to 22 March.

We are pleased to announce trial access to the Secret Files from World Wars to Cold War.

Sourced from the National Archives, this resource enables new research into intelligence, foreign policy, international relations, and military history from four key 20th-century conflicts  – the Spanish Civil War, World War II, the early years of the Cold War, and the Korean War.

The collection includes the files of the Permanent Undersecretary’s Department (PUSD), the point of liaison between the Foreign Office and the British intelligence establishment, documenting intelligence activities and its influence on foreign policy from 1873 to 1951, in addition to providing new insights into key moments of 20th-century history and a first look into how intelligence activities influenced the unfolding of events.

The trial runs until Friday 8 March.

Do let us know what you think. Please send your feedback to the Libraries Collections team: collections@nottingham.ac.uk.
