This is a vital resource for the study of the slave trade, missionary work, the American Revolution, and trading records of the United States and Canada from 1621-1952.

Highlights include:

Naval Office shipping lists 1678-1825

British pamphlets relating to the American Revolution 1976-1783

American papers in the House of Lords Record Office 1621-1917

Collected papers of the Bolton Walt Whitman Fellowship including correspondence and photographs

 

 

 

Slave trading records from William Davenport Co 1745-1797:

This is a vital resource for the study of British slave trader William Davenport’s company, the African slave trade, and leading merchant families in Liverpool.

Highlights include:

Trading invoices and accounts for the company’s ships

Cargo lists and prices

Ledger books for 1763-1775

 

 

Both trials run until 5 November 2019.
