Open Access Week 2018: One millionth open access download at Nottingham

For Open Access Week 2018 we’ve produced an infographic showcasing how making your work open access can benefit your research and to show what we in University of Nottingham Libraries can do to help you achieve this.

As you can see, the work you make open access through our repositories doesn’t need to be restricted just to journal articles – you can deposit all manner of research outputs from books and book chapters to data, compositions and working papers. We have a huge variety of items within our repositories, and these all achieve great visibility – this year for the first time over one million items have been downloaded!

Our research is being accessed from all over the world, which can only increase it’s visibility and impact.

If you’d like any help making your work open access, by depositing your work into our repository, yourself, or through the Mediated Deposit Service, or getting help with funding your Article Processing Charges (APCs), just contact us at openaccess@nottingham.ac.uk.

This blog is one of a series we’re running during Open Access Week 2018, you’ll find more blogs on other open access topics here
