Breda Walls, Chief Student Management Officer
Our new Chief Student Management Officer, Breda Walls, joined the University on Monday 28 September. Breda will lead on management of the student journey – from registration through to graduation – and will also sit on University Executive Board.
The work of Project Transform (which is part of Strategy 2020) will deliver significant changes to the structures supporting teaching, learning and research at the University. It will place student satisfaction at the heart of everything it does and this will be overseen by Breda.
With a wealth of experience in customer services within the aviation industry, Breda is well placed to ensure that students at The University of Nottingham receive the best service possible, and she will be working closely with colleagues to achieve this.
Breda also has vast experience in people leadership and management, and has led many organisations through transformation and change. She has worked in senior posts at British Airways and, most recently, Aer Lingus. Her posts have seen her lead large teams of people through significant cultural and economic changes to improve customer service.
Breda said of her appointment, “I am delighted to join The University of Nottingham at this opportune point in its continuing journey of excellence. I look forward to collaborating with colleagues across the University to further embed customer service excellence and service management solutions to ensure our students receive best in class service.”
