MyResearch: Networking event for UK companies based in Malaysia
On the 27th May 2014, MyResearch held a networking event that was aimed at UK based companies that are based in Malaysia.
MyResearch is a MIDA R&D status company and offers Malaysian companies a tax efficient way to invest in Research and Development.
The event was hosted by the acting British High Commissioner to Malaysia and MIDA (Malaysian Investment Development Authority).
We also received a lot of help and support from the British Malaysia Chamber of Commerce (BMCC) and the Department of Trade and Industry.
We would like to thank all of these organisations that helped and supported us.
Talks were given by Ray Kyles (acting British High Commissioner to Malaysia), Ms Noor Aieda Ahmad (Director of R&D and Business Services Division, of MIDA) and Graham Kendall (CEO of MyResearch and Vice-Provost for Research and Knowledge Transfer, University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus).
The event was well attended by a wide range of companies. It was pleasing to see that many discussions took place after the talks and the event ran slightly over time, as people wanted to keep talking.
We will be following up the contacts made at this event, over the next few days.
We’d also like to pass on our thanks to all those people that helped arrange this event. These things do not happen on their own, and all the help and support we received was very much welcomed and appreciated.
