Islamic Finance Research Centre: Baroness Warsi speech

UNMC have recently established an Islamic Finance Research Centre. I am sure there will be a lot more information coming out over the next weeks/months, so we won’t steal any of the team’s thunder by going into great detail here.

But, we’d just like to note that this centre has come at a very good time. The UK are really keen to support this area. So much so, that at a recent High Commision hosted event Baroness Warsi (Minister of State for
Faith and Communities) gave short speech which focussed on this area and all the things that the UK government are doing.

UNMC was well represented at the event (we had ten tickets) and we managed to have a series of short chats with the minister. The Islamic Finance Research Centre team will be following up on this over the next week or so.

Also, please keep an eye out for a press release that we hope will appear in the next few days.

All the blog posts that are concerned with the Islamic Finance Research Centre will be tagged with IFRC. This link could be used to provide access to all blog posts about this area.
