Research Training and Academic Development, formerly known as The Graduate School

It may have not passed you by that we have recently been reviewing UNMC’s Graduate School. It took a bit longer than we hoped but the review is now complete and we are part way through implementing the recommendations.

One of the recommendations was to merge all of our training into one unit. This new unit is to be called Research Training and Academic Development. Note, that Professional Services Professional Development will remain with Human Resources.

The new unit will incorporate the Graduate School, but will also encompass PGCHE and Academic Professional Development.

The new structure (shown as the header image) can be viewed in full here.

We still have a few details to finalise, which we hope we can do soon, but we were keen to update you on this new unit as soon as we sensibly could.

Hopefully, we’ll be able to provide a further update in a couple of weeks.
