UoN scholarships
We have just received the following information about UoN Scholarships.
If you are interested it would be good, in the first instance, to contact Martyn to to check that the project you have in mind is allowable under the proposed scheme.
Dear colleagues
I hope you are well.
I am writing to you in my capacity as secretary for the South East Asia RAN.
Please see below for details of some of the suite of scholarships that are available; as you are probably aware, the University offers a wider range of generous awards, with some specifically for alumni.
I would be very grateful if you could please disseminate to relevant colleagues across schools /departments and any other contacts.
Research Scholarships
For any students considering PhD study, we have 50 Vice Chancellor’s scholarships awarding Excellence – these cover 100% tuition fees. These scholarships aren’t exclusively available to alumni, but Nottingham alumni have a strong chance in receiving awards as they have previous history and evidence of attainment at The University. Web information available at:
University of Nottingham International Alumni Scholarships
For the first year ever, we now have high achiever scholarships for international students worth 25% of the tuition fee for any Nottingham students (all campuses) progressing to Masters study at The University (UK campus). Students must be classed as overseas for fee purposes to be eligible:
We also have non-competitive Alumni Scholarships of 10% towards tuition fees for University of Nottingham graduates who complete a full-time degree programme from our Nottingham, Malaysia or Ningbo campus, and register onto a new full-time degree programme at Nottingham in September 2013:
Our standard alumni scholarships are open to European (non UK) and overseas students for fee purposes.
Family Scholarship
Scholarships of 10% towards tuition fees are available for students who have, or have had, family studying at The University of Nottingham in the UK, Malaysia or Ningbo, are classed as overseas or European Union (non UK) for fee purposes, and are registering onto a new full-time degree programme at Nottingham in September 2013. (Family relates to brother, sister, children, husband or wife)
Other awards
Our 2013 entry scholarships are now open for international students registering onto new full-time degree programmes at Nottingham in September/October 2013. A comprehensive list of all available scholarships including details on how to apply can be found at www.nottingham.ac.uk/internationalstudents/scholarshipsfeesfinance/scholarships/index.aspx
If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact me or if they are very scholarship specific in nature then you may want to send these to my colleagues in the Scholarships Team and copy me in: scholarship-assistant@nottingham.ac.uk
Kind Regards
Martyn
