Rahaf Ltd: Thinking differently at The Ingenuity Lab
In the Ingenuity Lab, no day is the same and every member has a different story and requirements. As a group, we support each other, collaborate and ensure we have as much fun along the day; creating a melting pot of ideas! Each week, we will introduce one of our exemplary members and their business to you!
Mustafa H. Wareosh is in the early stages of setting up a business that has masses of potential. We had a quick catch up with him about his progress so far…
Age: 37 years old.
Company name: Rahaf Ltd.
What did you study at the University of Nottingham? I did a PhD in Biosciences.
What made you want to be an entrepreneur? Starting your own business is a great platform to explore new horizons of opportunities.
What is your business concept? The groundbreaking Think Different campaign that Apple launched in the late 90s is something that resonates strongly with how I approach life and also my business concept. Although I can’t reveal much about my business yet, I would strongly encourage anyone wanting to start up a business to take note of what Steve Jobs said back in 1997.
What stage are you currently at in setting up your company/business? We’re at quite an early stage of setting up Rahaf Ltd. We have already filed our idea as a patent and received their primary positive replay, which is good!
What challenges have you faced during the process? We began with no idea about the UK’s business regulations and laws, so each small step has been a learning curve and we’ve had so much to take in! The Ingenuity Lab team provided us with some great support so we could get our heads round all the different regulations.
How has being a Ingenuity Lab member helped you? The Ingenuity Lab members and mentors have all been so supportive and helpful. Steve Chapman and Rob Carroll have provided me with invaluable support throughout the process.
What are you goals for this year? Our main focus is building a strong and effective team and building our first product prototypes. Once that’s all sorted, we can begin marketing our product to potential customers, which is an exciting prospect!
