3rd Year Bucket List

How is it already March? With less than a semester left of my degree, I’ve been compiling a list of things I want to try and do before I graduate and move away from Nottingham! Take a look at what I’ve got so far:

Go to Sherwood Forest

Somehow I’ve been living in Nottingham for nearly three years and I’ve still not managed to visit what is possibly the most famous forest in the UK and allegedly home of the fabled Robin Hood! Admittedly this is partly because I haven’t had access to a car in my first and second years, but now I’m driving, I’m definitely taking my flatmates for a trip!

Have a drink at the UK’s oldest pub

A trip to Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem is on every ‘Top 10 things to do in Nottingham” article, but somehow I’ve never actually made it down there!

Eat at my old hallsĀ

Though I spent most of my first year moaning about the… questionably quality and lack of vegetaran options of catered halls food, I must admit I have a certain nostalgia for it. Those early days of uni, when me and my current flatmates had exhausted all the ‘where are you from, what course do you do’ conversation and instead bonded over complaining about the..er.. whatever-it-was that we had the pleasure of eating every night.

Take a photo in front of the Nottingham sign

Despite what the Prospectus pictures advertise, I have yet to hang around in front of the Nottingham sign, nor have I sat around in the grass in the sunshine with my multicultural group of friends. But once summer rolls around, I’ll definitely be doing both of these things!

So there’s my list of things that I hope to be doing before I graduate this July, maybe it’ll inspire some other third years to make the most of the alarmingly little time we have left! Also if you have any ideas of things that are UoN must-do’s, let me know and maybe I can add it to my list!
