The weather outside is frightful…let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. Seriously?

Hello people!

Have you looked outside your window? Yeap, I know. I thought it was spring ๐Ÿ˜›

It began very early in the morning and got progressively worse. It hasn’t stopped since.

I tried to upload a short video clip but unfortunately, it didn’t work. Oh well, I guess pictures will do..

Apparently, we’re going to have quite a wintery spring. I’m just glad that I didn’t have to go outside in this weather. I can just stay inside and do some reading. By the way, I’m not sure if you knew about this but medical students at The University of Nottingham don’t get long holidays anymore when they reach Year 3. I know, such a bummer. I guess it’s one of those things that you just have to face since you’re going to become a doctor anyway and life will be much more challenging when that time comes. On the bright side, I have 2 bank holidays coming up. Yeay! -_-”

In addition, I received an email from the Barnardo’s Independent Visitors Coordinator yesterday saying that they found a match for me. I bet you must be wondering what “match” am I talking about. If you’re clueless, you might want to readย this postย first to understand what I’m referring to. Well, I am currently volunteering for Barnardo’s as an Independent Visitor. Ever since I’ve completed the training, me and other fellow colleagues have to wait until the coordinator finds a suitable child to be paired with us for the duration of 2 years. It’s a really interesting voluntary work and I just can’t wait to meet this child somewhere around the end of this month (or maybe in May).

The University of Nottingham offers a lot of voluntary projects for students with various interests. I found mine, I hope you find yours.

Being me,

Wafi ๐Ÿ˜‰
