3 Exciting Events In Nottingham This August

Got a placement or a student job and are sticking around Nottingham for the summer? Need some things to do to fill your time around the beautiful city? One of the great things about Nottingham is that it is always filled with events – you’re never short of things to do.

I’ve compiled a quick list of some of the most exciting events the month of August has to offer in Nottingham. From Nottingham Castle to Wollaton Hall, there’s no shortage on exciting places to visit.

1.Leonardo Da Vinci Collection
Love art? Love Leonardo? (That’s Da vinci not Dicaprio). Then look no further than Nottingham Castle, where 10 of Da Vinci’s fascinating sketches are on display from the Royal Collection. Not only that, but ten history of art students from the University of Nottingham will be there alongside the exhibit – check out their blog here! There’s also plenty to do at Nottingham Castle, so stick around for the cave tours and the gallery!

2.Wollaton Park Outdoor Theatre
If the weather is beautiful and you fancy seeing a fantastic performance of live drama, head down to Wollaton Park. This month it’s hosting 3 exciting plays, grab your tickets here and look at the fantastic other events that the home of Batman is hosting this summer! If you’re lucky you may even see a deer or two!
