Connected Everything – We are recruiting
Research Associate/Fellow and Knowledge Exchange Lead for Connected Everything
This is an exciting role, based at the University of Nottingham, which supports the EPSRC funded Connected Everything Network Plus. This brings together research from the Manufacturing, Engineering, Sciences (computer, physical and social), Digital Economy, Design, Human Factors and Business communities to build new collaborations between leading academics and industry partners. The network encompass’ technology advances, and human, business and social perspectives, to ensure a full understanding of the realities of implementing digital technologies into future industrial systems.
This role is a result of successful continuation grant, which builds on the achievements of Connected Everything from the past 3 years. Therefore many of the structures for this role are well-established, allowing the successful applicant to focus on dissemination activities and discrete research projects. The role also has an important part in delivering the flagship annual conference and other events. This role would be well-suited to someone who can direct their own research projects within the broad field of digital manufacturing, as well as supporting the delivery of key events to disseminate their own work and that of others.
The post is offered on a fixed-term contract until 30th September 2022, on part time hours (31 hours per week). Please apply online.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to have an Informal conversation as this is a non-standard research role and enquiries may be addressed to Debra Fearnshaw. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
