Membership

To become a member, please send a short application outlining your academic profile in general and your research interest in Chinese art in particular. Please also attach a short CV (max. 1.000 words) and send the application to the webmasters (Franziska Koch and Paul Gladston). Members of the founding committee will confirm membership based on a democratic assessment and respond as soon as possible. The committee can also decide by majority to end a member’s membership in case of conflict. Members can end their membership with an informal declaration to the committee, e.a. addressing them with an e-mail via the webmasters.

Membership is free of charge and informal. This might change if the network will take on a specific legal form of which all members will be notified in advance.

Members are expected to contribute to the network’s activities as well as publications and help to shape its academic profile and public outreach. They are welcome to use the network’s name after consultation with the founding committee, when applying for funding in connection with academic activities that address the networks research profile and that include/are open for other network members. Members are expected to support the networks planned regular bi-/triannual conferences and encouraged to suggest panels and other activities in the name of the network at existent international conferences, symposia and other research gatherings.
