Visit to UMP – 3 Sep 2014

Tim Brailsford and Graham Kendall visited UMP on the 3 Sep, which follwed a visit by UMP (Universiti Malaysia Pahang) to UNMC on the 6 Aug 2014.

The meeting at UNMC was very productive, exploring a number of collaborative opportunities. These discussions were further developed during the visit to UMP.

Tim gave an overview of Computer Science, focussing on Malaysia and Research.

Graham gave two presentations. The first was entitled “The research landscape in Malaysia and the UK“.

The second presentation was more research focussed and looked at “Optimization: What does it really mean? (and do we care!)“.

There were a number of actions arising from the meeting, which we will be following up on in the next few weeks/months.
