MyRA 2013 has been returned
We are pleased to inform you that our 2013 MyRA return has been made. The deadline was the 15th Feb, and we made the return earlier today (14th Feb).
As always, this have involvedĀ a lot of work, from a lot of people.
I would personally like to thank the Research Support Office (Anita, Faizah and Naga) for all their hard work. They have done little else for the past few weeks than collect, collate and analyse the various elements that we need to return.
I know that the Research Support Office would also like to pass on their thanks to all the people they have been working with. We realise that this is a big undertaking by all concerned.
We’ll disseminate details of our return through the appropriate reporting lines (e.g. Research Strategy Committee and the Knowledge Exchange Committee) over the coming weeks and, as happens each year, we will look at trying to improve the process to make it (slightly) easier next year.
But, for now, let’s just breathe a sigh of relief that we have submitted our 2013 MyRA return and congratulate ourselves on a job well done.
Perhaps there is need for a system collect and keep the data up to date on regular basis. I am not sure what RMC is doing since it’s not 1st time UNMC is submitting data MyRA, unless we enjoy doing things the way we are doing and keep continue to do so for thrill and pleasure/pressure.
Thanks for this. Trust me, the RMC work very hard at this and have refined their systems over the years. It is not easy to collect the data (either as a one off, or regularly) but we are always looking for ways to improve the quality and the ease with which we collect data. This will be refined over the coming year.
Of course, there is a need for everybody to contribute (e.g. keeping ESP up to date, providing data in a timely manner etc.) but I have noticed improvements since the first time I was involved three years ago – and we hope to improve even more.
