Nottingham Research Leaders Program 2014
Following the first Nottingham Research Leaders Program in 2014 (see the blog post here), we had our second cohort visit us this week (03 – 07 Nov 2014).
This program is designed to identify and develop promising individuals within the University via a twelve month training programme. As part of that training, they have to visit one of the international campuses. We hosted five of the participants, with the other members of the program visiting Ningbo.
Their activities included visits to UPM and IIUM (and thank you to those institutions for hosting), as well as visiting CFFRC and running an ECRN workshop.
On the final day, the NRLP participants gave a presentation to UNMC senior management that was full of interesting ideas that we will be following up over the coming weeks/months.
I think (hope) that all concerned found it a very informative and productive week and we are grateful to the NRLP visittors for their hard work and engagement throughout the week.
We also owe thanks to the organising team (Professor Trevor P
arfitt, Dr Christopher Hill and Zabidah Yusof) for their hard work, as well as to CFFRC for taking the time to tell the NRLP members about this important project.
