MyResearch visit Boustead Shipyard, Lumut

On the 21 Aug 2014, we were fortunate enough to be invited to visit the Boustead Shipyard at Lumut.

The reason for the visit was to get to know each other and to investigate if there is any collaborative research that we could do together, particularly through MyResearch.

It was a very interesting visit, which included a tour of the shipyard (hard hats ‘n all – see picture below) and wide ranging discussions.

Several potential projects were discussed, and we will be taking these up with the academic staff who might have an interest, and the expertise, in the broads areas of interest.

We’d like to thank Boustead Shipyard for being so hospitable, and for taking the time to see us. We hope it won’t be long before we are able to meet them again and further develop some of the ideas.
