GEP 14: Emerging Markets and Financial Integration
The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus recently hosted a major international conference on ‘Emerging Markets and Financial Integration’. The conference is organised by the world-leading research institute the Nottingham Centre for Research on Globalisation and Economic Policy (GEP), Centre for Finance, Credit and Macroeconomics| (CFCM) and the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus School of Economics. 12 distinguished speakers from around the world presented in the conference.
Highlights of the conference include the Boustead Annual Globalisation Lecture delivered by Dr Jayant Menon, Lead Economist (Trade and Regional Cooperation) from the Asian Development Bank on the impact of Eurozone financial shocks on an increasingly integrated and globally connected ASEAN, and the World Economy Annual Asia Lecture delivered by Professor Euston Quah from the Nanyang Technological University on the environmental challenge of pursuing economic growth in Asia.
