Prof Rom Nain appointed to the Standards Committee of MQA

Professor Rom Nain, who recently gave his inaugural lecture, has been appointed to the Standards Committee of MQA to draw up and establish guidelines for Communications programmes in Malaysian universities and colleges at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

This is a prestigious appointment and we would like to offer our congratulations of behalf of everybody at UNMC.

His first meeting is on the 26th July (Boxing Day), which seems strange to those of us who are used to UK public holidays. but I guess we cannot complain too much about the fact that Boxing Day is not a public holiday in Malaysia, given the number of other holidays we get!

Rom, we hope the first meeting goes well.
