We are excited to announce that the Ingenuity Lab’s annual entrepreneurship competition, Ingenuity16 has returned and registration is now open!

This year, University of Nottingham (UoN) undergraduates will not only compete alongside their postgraduate contemporaries but researchers and alumni also; to be in with a chance of winning a share of the £100,000 prize fund.

Applicants will have the opportunity to pitch fora range of cash prizes and support in kind, including advice on patenting; accounting; contracts work and more.  This year, Ingenuity16 is sponsored by partners Santander Universities, Shakespeare Martineau, Potter Clarkson, BDO, CityCare and the University’s Asia Business Centre and Careers and Employability Team.

Why not share your eureka moment with us!

This competition is open to all UoN students, researcher or alumni, who have a business idea but require support in developing their business plan.

Does this sound like you?

If so, there is an online registration form for you to introduce your business idea and team to us. Completion of the form should only take 15minutes and the deadline is Wednesday 17th February.   We are also accepting applications from external candidate as long as they are part of a UoN team.

You will be invited to attend our fun and innovative boot camp on Friday 26th February at the East Midland Conference Centre, meeting a range of coaches to support your developmental needs.  There will also be a series of developmental seminars during February – April, so please do take a look at dates to ensure you can attend.

What’s in it for you?

There are a whole host of exciting prizes, some monetary to help with financing your business and others gifts in kind; spending time with a number of key industry leaders in product design property, law, finance, social policy and more! 

Prizes include the £10,000 Vice-Chancellor’s Entrepreneurial Award, which will go to the business with the most grown potential. There will also be prizes given to the top three business ideas; best pitch and £10,000 awarded to the top Asia Business.  This list is not exhaustive, so sign up today! #Ingenuity16
