Shopping, Summer and the Future
I’m not a big fan of shopping. Standard boy attitude. I drag my feet around, grumble if something extra appears on the list and so after a long summer putting it off I’ve finally had to start getting some essentials in and as quickly as I could I ended up with this.
As you can tell the ‘essentials’ are football boots, bed sheets and a laundry basket amongst other things. I’m sure that’s enough to survive living in a house, right?
Worse than shopping is packing but my imminent arrival to Nottingham means I have had to start. I had a quick look and this was just a snippet of what faced me. I still hadn’t quite unpacked from the end of term so I guess that’s what my packing will start with.
So with a hint of sadness the summer is nearly over, the prospect of not sleeping in my actual bed again for another few months is daunting, unless my new bed in my house is lush. This year is another step, I have chosen new modules that will actually count to my degree, job hunting to earn the extra pocket money I can spend at whatever social occasion I find myself in and before I know it, it will be January and I’ll be halfway through my whole University life. The first year flew by and as I approach my second without the fear first year brought I’m determined to make the most of everything. So watch this space!
For a few more days I can carry on dominating at Monopoly before moving in day. I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes!
