Hallward…We Need To Talk!

Dear Hallward,

I think we need to talk. We’ve had a good run and I’ve been thinking about this for a long time now. I don’t think it’s working anymore. I mean, I have been working but you try and distract me with you vending machines and your swivel chairs and your Facebook group.

To be honest with you, I’m getting sick of the sight of your many walls and floors. I’ve even played with the idea of going back to Jubilee. No, don’t look like that! I haven’t actually acted on it but I’ve thought about it and it’s just not healthy. The magic has gone.

The other day when I forgot my student card and you wouldn’t even let me in, well that hurt. Okay so you changed your mind after a bit but it was just too late. You made yourself very clear. We haven’t been happy for a long time and I think we should end it now before it gets worse.

What do you mean we can make it work? Do you really think so? I don’t know. I have found it hard to stay away but that doesn’t mean I’ll keep coming back. Okay! Okay! Just until my deadlines are due and then we’ll take it from there.

p.s. Basically I have spent a lot of time in Hallward this week. Actually I’m writing this blog from Hallward. Back to the essay writing…
