The Key of the Door
So apparently, when you’re 21 you get the key of the door- because you’ve never been 21 before. So that was exciting this weekend on my 21st birthday. My mum tried to get me one of these gorgeous plastic numbers but couldn’t find one in time.Β So in stead I got these
I love tulips π The plan is for me to choose some kind of jewellery some time but finding that might take a while. My Dad also made this:
He was really secretive on the phone “all I’m going to say is….Cake” and I was SO CURIOUS and so beautifully surprised by it!
So my family came for the weekend and we had a lovely time. I got some lovely presents including many age-appropriate ones such as Disney crockery, Disney jigsaw puzzles and a miffy fob watch. Because I’m a grown-up now. We went out for lunch, had a wander in Wollaton park and got steak for an excellent birthday dinner. My first taste of fillet steak. OM NOM.
Wollaton Park:
So that was a lovely weekend but has meant work has got a bit behind. I have also been doing more sensory studies for money/ food – including one particularly disgusting one involving tasting salt foam and salt gel – to say which one was more disgusting saltier. The texture was reminiscent of when you have a chesty cough…but hey I got Kinder Bueno π
I also went to Funny Farm (Sutton Bonington Stand Up comedy night) to see the Noise Next Door, an improv sketch/musical comedy group, last night. Strictly speaking I should have been working but they are SO GOOD I couldn’t say no. I was introduced to them through Uni and this was the fourth time I’d seen them live – I also have the DVD, but every time it’s brilliant. Here’s a bit of an example of them in action:

I couldn’t get the video to embed but click on the link to be highly amused π
There’s lots of other brilliant videos but that was the cleanest one I could find to post…
BREAKING NEWS: Just went round to the fungalow and this was their Tesco shop
99 bottles of cola, 50 bottles of lemonade and loads of other stuff. They buy Value so it gets substituted and you “make money”
Madness
Anyway that’s been my week – hope your weeks are all beautiful π
I think a cola addiction might be one of the 99 problems… wow.
