Lights, cameras… breakdancing Santas?

As you may know the Christmas lights officially came on in Nottingham city centre last week.

So I got into the festive spirit by going along to:

  • Get crushed by prams from every direction
  • Eat way too much snowcake from the Christmas amusements
  • Have a breakdancing Santa come up and dance around me (which I LOVED!)

And like most amateur photographers, it was a great opportunity take pictures of the city as it really does look lovely this time of year.

Nat King Cole songs come to mind as I walk through town these days. (Chestnuts roasting on an open fire…jack frost nipping at your nose)

It makes me really excited to go home for the holidays  even though I know I’ll be snowed under (haha, you get it?) with revision and dissertation research. But I’d rather do that at home with my family!

During the week I also worked for a campus visit. I’m a Student Ambassador for this university and we often have schools from the local area visiting to encourage higher education. It means a lot cause I like seeing students in the year below who recognise me because I was their tour guide last year and I helped convince them to come to the University of Nottingham.

If you see me leading a pack of confused looking 15 year olds around campus, feel free to say hi!
