University of Nottingham Staff show off their skills at Annual Staff Sports Events
University of Nottingham Sport offers a wide range of opportunities for members of staff to keep fit, have fun and meet new people.
Staff can join staff sports clubs or participate in our annual events. Catch up with what happened at our staff sports day and staff golf day below:
Staff Sports Day
On Wednesday 3 July, our annual Staff Sports Day took place and it certainly didn’t disappoint!
Over 90 members of staff took part in activities including Welly Wanging, Football Shots, Beanbag Throws and our infamous ‘build a tower’ using Jenga bricks and space hoppers.
The overall winning team were the SU officers.
Staff Golf Day
Once again the weather was kind to us this year for the staff golf day, with some glorious sunshine at a fantastic venue. This year thirty staff, Alumni and guests took part in the day from over 17 different departments. Showing that it really is a great way to network and meet people who work or are involved with all areas of University life.
Thank you to Wollaton Park Golf Course for providing lovely food & providing all elements of the course in supreme condition. The sausage sandwiches on arrival were a particular highlight!
Marin Truman- summed the day up well by stating “it was lovely to see lots of familiar faces amongst fellow competitors & refresh the camaraderie that we all enjoy via this event.”
