Varsity Series 2018 Preview: Netball
The University of Nottingham Netball 1s are aiming to cap off their incredibly successful BUCS season with a 2018 Varsity Series Victory against Nottingham Trent University this Sunday 13th May at the David Ross Sports Village, the match will start at 11:00.
The UoN Netball 1s were crowned BUCS Midlands 1A league champions after winning the league by six clear points having not lost a single game all season. Their dominance in the BUCS league is highlighted by the fact that they finished the season as champions with a goal difference of 174, more than double that of 2nd placed Cambridge who finished with a goal difference of 62. UoN finished the BUCS Midlands 1A league with double the amount of points of NTU who finished in 3rd place with 15 points.
However, NTU will prove tough opposition and if this year’s previous series results show anything it is that anything can happen in a Varsity fixture. NTU have already shown that they are capable of coming out on top in this event having won the Varsity Netball fixture for three consecutive years in 2014, 2015 and 2016!
Come down to the David Ross Sports Village this Sunday 13th at 11:00 to see if UoN Netball can complete an unbeaten league season with a victory at the 2018 Varsity Series!
