Calling all EPSRC science photographers
Do you have an eye for imagery that captures the scientific weird and wonderful or those Eureka moments? Would you like to share your photos to support excellence and promote outstanding UK engineering and physical sciences research?
If so you might want to take part in the EPSRC 2015 Science Photo Competition. Launched today it runs until midnight on Saturday 19 December 2015.
The competition is open to all EPSRC supported researchers and EPSRC supported doctoral students, giving them the opportunity to share their research through pictures and the chance to win prizes.
Your images will be scrutinised by judges chosen from academia, industry and photo journalism.
These are the categories:
- People – Images of people working as part of your research team, taking part in or affected by your research.
- Weird and wonderful – Unusual, eye-catching and bizarre images arising from your research
- Eureka – Images that reflect new discoveries and understanding arising from your research and the processes involved in achieving them.
- Innovation – Images of research that have inspired innovation or are related to commercial breakthroughs.
