What inspired you into your career in engineering?
The promising and bright future of engineering, the beauty of the discipline and the encouragement from my friends and family.
What project(s) are you working on at the moment?
I’m working on the ACHIEVE project, which aims to develop a next-generation highly-integrated motor/generator system for turboprop applications.
Can you tell us more about this?
During the motoring mode, the electrical machine is used for green taxiing application and driving propellers. While in the generation mode, the electrical machine is driven by the engine and runs as an electrical generator.
What do you think other women need to know about a career in engineering?
It is sexy! Just do it! Believe in yourself and work hard! Show yourself that you can do it!
