Showcasing excellence and innovation in midwifery

The world’s first ever conference to show-case excellence and innovation in midwifery education is being held at The University of Nottingham.

Over 100 delegates from across the globe, including North America, Europe and Australasia are attending this inaugural event putting the high quality education and research delivered by the Academic Division of Midwifery firmly on the international map.

The conference, highlighting the MINT project, http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/midwifery/mint and the work of the University’s new professor of midwifery, Helen Spiby, is being held on Jubilee Campus this Friday and Saturday, 7th and 8th of September.

Keynote speakers include Frances Day Stirk, the new President of the International Confederation of Midwives.

The response has proved so successful that the event will now held every two years from now on.
