Congratulations, we’re engaged! To 5,165 of you!
…surely that’s not legal….!?
We are committed to making our libraries work for you. Over the past 18 months, we have been gathering, listening and responding to your feedback, and what a lot of it there has been! Positive or negative, it is all useful stuff and helps us improve our services to support your learning, teaching and research.
Between August 2014 and July 2015, 5,165 of you gave us your feedback in one format or another. This included:
- 355 people attending library focus groups. These covered a range of topics including the new George Green Library, Moodle and reading lists.
- 2,792 responses to online, paper and ‘clipboard’ surveys about our webpages and Moodle amongst other things.
- 2,018 people providing feedback by other channels including our ‘green tokens in a box’ surveys, user-experience testing and customer journey mapping.
Some changes you may have already noticed as a result of your feedback include:
- A new food and drink policy in all our libraries. You want to drink your coffee upstairs? You got it!
- New-look library webpages. No more endless clicking and scrolling! Take that RSI!
- New “text help” and “text noise” services in the Business Library and the Greenfield Medical Library. Noisy neighbours stopping you from working, but you don’t want to be the ‘bad guy’? Text us and let us be that person!
Coming soon:
- New bookable group study spaces in the James-Cameron Gifford Library
We will continue to share the results of our engagement on our website where you will also be able to find the results of our service standards and key performance indicators.
