A satisfying result – National Student Survey

The results of the latest National Student Survey (NSS) are in! Everyone within Libraries, Research and Learning Resources (LRLR) here at The UoN is chuffed to discover that student satisfaction with our libraries has increased again, for the second year running, and now stands at an all-time high.

Analysis of the latest NSS results shows that satisfaction with our libraries has increased by almost 1% since last year. This may not sound like a big jump to some, but to put this into context, since last year our libraries have risen an impressive seven places in the Russell Group rankings – from 17th to 10th. Satisfaction with our libraries is now the highest it has been in at least the last 5 years.

An impressive 90% of respondents reported that our library resources and services met their needs. Whilst we clearly welcome this upward trend, we also appreciate that this is no time to rest on our laurels.

Colleagues across LRLR – from front line Customer Services staff in libraries, to Content and Discovery – are constantly working to improve our library services, provision and support. If you have feedback, comments or queries about anything library related, you can email the library helpline at library-helpline@nottingham.ac.uk or call 0115 95 16393.

Now, here’s to next year’s NSS, and another rise in satisfaction!
