Faculty of Science Assessment Workshop
The expectations of students and of employers are no longer the same as they were 20 years ago and the University is working on revising its assessment practice in order to take account of this. Students are asking to be assessed in ways that explicitly demonstrate that they have acquired the skills they will need in employment, and the assessments need to link directly to learning outcomes articulated at programme level. This Faculty of Science workshop was designed to enable the sharing of existing good practice between the Schools in the Faculty, and to stimulate new ideas for programme and assessment design.
