Why did you choose The University of Nottingham?

Cast your minds back to when you were applying to University, what were the main factors which affected your decisions? Why did you choose to come to Nottingham? Making the decision to continue onto further education is arguably more complicated than ever before, with a multitude of factors playing a role in which institutions to select.

For many students, particularly those living abroad the experience of our alumni plays a key role in the decision making process. We have a host of international ambassadors in over 30 countries around the world who are available for prospective students to contact. They offer advice on courses, campus life and provide an insight into what student life is actually like at Nottingham.  Our alumni ambassadors also work closely with our International Office, visiting schools and Universities and attending HE exhibitions, to provide a flavour of student life to prospective students. If you would like to provide an international profile please contact hannah.curnock@nottingham.ac.uk

We also host events around the world which bring alumni and prospective students together to grow their networks and get answers to those all important questions. Two such events are taking place this month in Delhi and Dhaka where alumni and prospective students will enjoy a drinks reception and the opportunity to meet. Similar events take place across the world so please keep an eye out for events in your area if you would like to get involved.

Closer to home our alumni provide case studies and career profiles which help prospective students (and current students) decide on which career paths might be open to them and where a University of Nottingham degree might take them. Perhaps you would like to provide a career profile or case study to showcase your success story, to do so please contact malvika.johal@nottingham.ac.uk.
