Merry Christmas!

As everyone is busy preparing for Christmas, we wanted to say a big Thank you, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our alumni and friends of the University who have helped make 2012 a fantastic year.

This year has seen our alumni contribute in many ways; the University launched the ambitious Impact campaign which aims to raise £150m by 2015 thank you to our alumni and friends who have already contributed towards this inspiring campaign.  We have had thousands of alumni returning to events in the UK and abroad, expanding their networks and being involved in the life of the University. Thank you to those who have given up their spare time to volunteer, either by speaking at events, or mentoring current students as part of our e-mentoring programme, as well as those who keep an interest in the life of the University and inspire future students.

Our diverse community means that for some Christmas will not be celebrated in the traditional sense, but it is wonderful when we hear from friends abroad who have hosted alumni Christmas parties in Beijing and Delhi to know that the holiday season is enjoyed by so many!

Where ever you are in the world and whatever Christmas means to you, we hope you have a peaceful break, and we look forward to being in touch in the New Year!
