Are you recruitment ready?

Preparing for the recruitment process can be daunting for some students, but thanks to our Skills for Employability workshops this can be made easier. Hosted by a range of graduate recruiters from various industries this is a great opportunity to find out more. Sessions are aimed at students from all degree subjects and are delivered by some of the biggest graduate recruiters such as KMPG, Deloitte, Ernst & Young and PwC.

The topics covered in the sessions vary from areas such as how to complete application forms and preparing for interviews all the way through to assessment centres and presentation techniques. The great thing is you can pick and choose which sessions you attend; you just need to make sure you go to six sessions throughout the academic year and complete the activities on WebCT to get gain accreditation towards the Award.

These sessions are very popular so it is good idea to book well in advance on the My Career system via the careers website www.nottingham.ac.uk/careers Coming in the spring term we have the likes of GlaxoSmithKline, BAE Systems, Mercer, Capgemini, Tata Steel, Ernst & Young and Michael Page International with more employers being booked every week.

For any students in the Business School there’s the option of the Business School Employer Programme Certificate which is awarded to students who attend a significant number of Employer Programme or related events, and who have prepared a CV and personal evidence statement that has been approved in a special meeting with their personal tutor. More information for this can be found by contacting Jackie Andrews Jacqueline.andrews@nottingham.ac.uk

Not only will you gain invaluable skills it is also the opportunity to network with graduate recruiters in a relaxed setting. So don’t miss out, register for Skills for Employability or the Business School Employer Programme Certificate now!
