Do you know your local literary heroes? Do you like prizes? As part of World Book Day, we’re running a competition for three people to win a library tote bag filled with a waterbottle, notebook, pencil, postcards, keyring and lolly.
All you have to do is match eight local authors (1-8) to eight locations (A-H) in the East Midlands associated with them or their works. Write the answers on the sheet along with your name and email address and return it to Manuscripts & Special Collections, or email your answers to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 10th March.
Physical copies of the Bingo Card can be picked up at all UoN library branches, or you can download a PDF version.
Thank you to everyone who entered the World Book Day Literary Bingo competition. The lucky winners have been contacted to claim their prizes, so if you haven’t heard then unfortunately you haven’t won. The answers were:
1: Alan Sillitoe – G: Raleigh Factory
2: Mary Howitt – B: The Dene, Heanor
3: Lord Byron – F: Newstead Abbey
4: Stanley Middleton – E: High Pavement School
5: DH Lawrence – H: Eastwood
6: Hilda Lewis – D: Birkin & Co Ltd
7: John Harvey – A: Lenton/Park Estate
8: Mary Worley Montagu – C: Thoresby Hall
