Environmental sustainability is becoming more prevalent and gaining importance within the workplace. Do you want to gain some vital experience in this area and prepare yourself for your next step?
The University of Nottingham is one of the “greenest” universities in the world, and so are in a perfect position to help provide an excellent advantage to the students.
The NAA Module Environmental Sustainability Project Management allows those involved to gain vital experience in how to plan, deliver and evaluate sustainability based projects. Part of which is to educate other students about the amazing, yet sometimes hidden sustainability work which happens here at the University Of Nottingham.
The module’s objective is for you to run your own environmental sustainability campaign with the support of the University’s estates team, you will learn to develop your skills in; environmental sustainability, awareness and advocacy, education for sustainable development, oral and written communication. Students will also gain skills in time-management and problem solving, with the ultimate aim of bringing about change by working in a team and building relationships. The assessment is; the campaign or project piece, a short reflective log and a group presentation.

In the past the students have produced “how to video guides” in the past which have been well received, however this year, the Sustainability Team ( who run the module) want to use the module to produce a focused project which really meets the needs of the students and what they want and need to know about the University Of Nottingham’s Sustainability Story.

There is still time to apply for the NAA Module ( XX1N63), simply email sustainability@nottingham.ac.uk with a 100 word explanation of why you want to join.
