How to maximise productivity this Easter

Easter is here! That magical time when all the work gets done, am I right?! I know I’m not the only one who’s been saying “I’ll do it over Easter” for the past … 3 weeks.  Having been through a few Easters at uni, here are my tips on how to make the most of it.

Stay at Uni

Not the entire time I mean, if it’s possible for you to go home then a change of scenery can do wonders however, in terms of productivity find it easier to focus here. Being at home can lull you into a holiday mode and rightly so but … you also have deadlines. I say, stay here for at least an extra week. You’re far more likely to feel like you should keep working and then you can really treat yo self when you get home.

Timetable

Boring I know but it keeps you on track. And if you’re super specific about stuff you want to get done every day, you’re far more likely to achieve it .

Pace yourself

A little bit every day is the best strategy. You’ll feel a lot more motivated if you break up work into bitesize chunks instead of, ‘Write 10k of Dissertation’

Take Days Off

Let’s be honest, we all have those days when we don’t feel like working so we just procrastinate and we’re trying to work but your YouTube and Netflix tabs are open. And those days are no fun because you know why? The guilt. So just schedule in days when you don’t work at all. Because they’ll exist anyway, might as well feel good about these days, relax properly, eat all the chocolate and hot cross buns, and be refreshed for your study days !
