Castle Rock Brewery
Castle Rock is a pub group and brewery based in Nottingham. The brewery is Nottingham’s largest and a group of friends and I went on a tour around it recently (as well as sampling some of the beer)!
Castle Rock was originally founded in 1977 by former Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) chairman Chris Holmes. The original idea was to create a friendly, welcoming pub and serve high quality beers. The group has grown considerably since then and so has the brewery which can produce 360 barrels of delicious beer a week.
Various Castle Rock beers have won numerous awards, but most famous is their Harvest Pale that won Supreme Champion Beer of Britain 2010 at the CAMRA Great British Beer Festival. We got to try a great selection of beers after the tour, including the Harvest Pale and it was delicious!
It is a great way to spend an afternoon, which ends by pulling your own pint and then tucking in to sample some of Castle Rock’s finest beers.
What a great place ! thanks for the pics 🙂

Glad you got the chance to try it and enjoyed it David 🙂 I ordered a Harvest Pale in a pub last night and they’d run out, shows how popular it is!
