It’s the beginning of my 2 week holiday!
Hello readers!
I am currently writing to you all the way from Edinburgh. Yeap, Iām currently on my 2 week holiday before the start of my 4th year.
This week has been a rigorous week for all 3rd year medical students as we faced our final examination of the year. It began on Monday with a paper on Therapeutics (Medications) when a technical error occurred and caused havoc throughout all 3 examination venues. I might be exaggerating here but my colleagues definitely seemed distress during and after the exam. I was frustrated as well during the exam period. Reports have been made and we hope that fair action will be taken during the moderation of the results. Wednesday was the final day of examination and the day consisted of skills examination on patients. It was quite a nerve-racking experience. But I’m just glad that it’s finally over. King’s Mill Hospital is definitely a great place for us to do our Clinical Phase 1 (hospital attachment). Alison (our Nurse Educator) said that I looked smart and that definitely made my day.
It was a rainy day today in Edinburgh. The reason why I came here is to see my friend Shafiq Zuki graduating upon completing his degree in Actuarial Science. Despite the gloomy weather, the graduates seemed delighted to obtain their scrolls. I wonder how I would feel like when it’s finally my turn to graduate. My graduation for my first degree will be this December and I’m hoping for a 2:1, inshaAllah š
Well, I’m going to Newcastle and Birmingham next before heading to Durham for the Psychiatry Summer School. And I still need to recover from the weariness of preparing for my final 3rd Year Exam. Till then, see you later!
being me,
Wafi š
