The Good Neighbours Post Office
The Off Campus Student Affairs department is starting to get quite excited about the weekend. The University of Nottingham’s MayFest takes place on Saturday and we’re really looking forward to setting up stall bright and early and speaking to lots of people about the work we do with our students and the local community.
This year, we’re going to be running the Good Neighbours Post Office – giving everyone the chance to come and let us know what they love about their neighbours or where they live by creating a postcard and posting it into our big blue postbox. There’ll be coloured pens and glitter glue a-plenty as we find out what being a good neighbour means to the people of Nottingham.
As well as getting a little bit crafty (our Prittsticks are poised), we’re chomping at the bit to let people know about some of the projects we’ve been working on this year. From wheelie bins to personal safety, we’ve been working hard to help our students get the most of living in the community in Nottingham and we can’t wait to show what we’ve been getting up to.
Of course, there’s going to be absolutely loads of other brilliant stuff going on at MayFest – you can check out what’s happening when and where on the website.
We’ll be on C Floor in Portland Building from 11-5pm on Saturday – do come along and say hello!
